The game in the lives of children occupies a special place - this is the main type of cognitive activity, through it, preschool children study the world around them.

It is in the game that the child not only masters the skills of fine motor skills, which is extremely important, but also takes the first steps in the development of creative abilities.
For the smallest - from 1.5 to 3 years - any occupation is substantive. In other words, through acquaintance with objects, the comprehension of the new takes place. At the initial stage, kids need to learn the simplest thing: to distinguish the colors and shapes of different objects, their size and weight, as well as recognize their number and generally try to manage them. New skills are given easily and without difficulties in the process of an exciting game - such a pastime, unlike classical lessons, completely captures the attention of the child. The properties of the toys themselves come to the fore - it depends on their characteristics whether they will be interesting to the baby, and at the same time contribute to his learning and development. For example, the bright cubes of the LEGO DUPLO constructor are ideal for the correct formation of the basic skills of the child. In size, they are 8 times larger than standard LEGO cubes, so it is convenient for children to take them with small handles.By building the simplest turret, the child simultaneously learns to distinguish colors and determine the height of the object. And the task of adults is to help him with advice, talk about colors, numbers and their meanings, so that the child can correctly calculate what parts of the designer his construction consists of.
After some time, the baby himself will learn to combine designer cubes, invent and design more complex shapes. With LEGO DUPLO sets, children have fun playing, as they allow you to constantly create something new and interesting.
For older preschoolers - 2−5 years old - role-playing games are of great importance, which provide an opportunity for unlimited creativity and self-expression. One of the tasks of parents in this case is the development of creative abilities in the child. It is necessary to give the kid an understanding that toys can easily become heroes of stories, then he will begin to independently compose stories for games. Children's imagination creates a "make-believe" situation, but at the same time there is a lot of real life in it: actions, feelings, experiences. The child presents himself, for example, as a brave knight who valiantly guards the treasures of the kingdom. He understands that all this is fictitious, but treats the fantasy world as real. Sending his hero on a campaign, the kid includes all his imagination in order to build a medieval tower, learn how to shoot from a catapult and control a carriage.
“LEGO® DUPLO® kits stimulate the imagination, promote the development of a child’s creative skills. With these toys, children can create everything that their rich imagination can do,” says Carsten Bunch, LEGO® Director of Design for Designs for Preschool Children.
