This clutch has no lining, it is sewn manually, quickly and easily.

For this clutch envelope, artificial or genuine leather of medium density and rigidity is suitable. The clutch is sewn by hand, it is better to take the thread thick and strong enough, for example, waxed or thread for finishing jeans.

Idea: leather or vinyl clutch bag with scallop decor

You will need:

- artificial or genuine leather of two colors;

- strong thread;

- a large needle for hand sewing;

- metal fastener;

- breadboard knife;

- scissors;

- a device for punching holes in the skin or awl;

- paper for a pattern;

- ruler;

- felt-tip pen;

- a thin pen (e.g. capillary);

- clamps.

Step 1

Download the pattern here and print.

Step 2

Cut out parts from leather (the main part is made of leather of one color, 2 valve parts, the outer and inner parts are made of leather of another color; the valve part can also be cut one, see the downloaded diagram).

Step 3

Punch holes in the clutch part at a distance of 0.6 cm from the edge and at distances of 0.6 cm from each other (see photo).

Step 4

Fold the clutch, as shown in the photo, and fasten with clamps so that the parts do not move relative to each other. Using a thin pen, transfer hole marks to the bottom layer of skin. Remove the clips, unfold the clutch and punch holes in the marked areas.Repeat the procedure with valve parts.

Step 5

Manually sew the seams of the main part of the clutch: sew the needle forward in the seam first in one direction and then back, closing the gaps with stitches.
