Salvatore ferragamo

Salvatore Ferragamo is a very famous and popular Italian brand. The company presents shoes, leather goods, accessories, fragrances and clothes. The company was founded by Salvatore Ferrgamo in the 20s of the XX century. In 1938, he bought the historic Palazzo Spini Feroni Palace in the center of Florence and founded the headquarters of Salvatore Ferragamo there.
By the way, the palace is currently hosting the exhibition A Palace and the City, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of Florence as the capital of the Italian kingdom. The exhibition presents works of art from around the world: old books, paintings, engravings, and, of course, shoes - about 900 different shoes created by Salvatore Ferragamo and his daughter in the 1950s and 1960s. The A Palace and the City exhibition will run until April 3, 2016.

Address: Florence, Palazzo Spini Feroni.
Today, the company is headed by the founder’s wife, Wanda Ferragamo, and the CEO is Ferruccio Ferragamo, their eldest son. Salvatore Ferragamo's collections of clothing, shoes and accessories are sold worldwide.
The main asset of the brand from its very foundation to this day is shoes. Salvaotore Fergamo is considered an innovator in the manufacture of shoes - he came up with the idea of reinforcing the studs with metal, began to create shoes on a cork platform or with a transparent nylon top, and began to combine different materials and textures in one model. Fergamo's clients included celebrities such as Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Andy Warhol and others. And to this day, the company produces shoes according to the sketches of the founder of the brand, which he did many years ago.

Salvatore Ferragamo Museum

In 1995, the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum opened in Florence in the Palazzo Spini Ferona, dedicated to the history of the company. In the museum you can see more than ten thousand models of shoes created by Ferragamo from the 20s until his death. In addition, the museum has an archive of documents, shoes of the 18th and 19th centuries, collections of clothes from 1959 and bags from 1970.

Pitti Uomo Exhibition

Pitti Uomo is one of the largest international exhibitions dedicated to men's fashion. The exhibition is held twice a year - in summer and winter. This exhibition is an ideal place for establishing professional contacts and interesting communication. Each year, Pitti Uomo hosts many interesting and vibrant shows, and the streetstyle of the event guests deserves special attention - since the Italian men's fashion exhibition is still quite a closed event, only truly professional people come here. Therefore, it is impossible to see template copies from fashion shows or catchy and artsy models that attract too much attention. All the images, like selection, are stylish, restrained and always very relevant - they can be inspired in everyday life.
