But this is far from the only reason to have a wedding on the country's largest island of a thousand smiles - Phuket. On this island, which has the shape of an irregular pearl, the sun shines 300 days a year, on tiny secluded beaches you can not meet a soul for a whole day, in a warm sea water is more transparent than glass, and a smile does not leave the faces of local residents. At the same time, Phuket is one of the leaders in Thailand in terms of the number of romantic attractions. What is even worth the island of Pi-Pi-Lei, where the famous film "The Beach" was shot with Leonardo DiCaprio, or Phang Nga National Reserve, which became the scenery for one of the best paintings about James Bond. In a word, Phuket is an ideal place for honeymooners, not without reason everyone

Official part
Before you indulge in dreams of a magical holiday, you need to deal with documents. What are the options?
THE MOST COMMON - to sign in the Russian registry office, accept congratulations from family and friends, fly to Phuket on the same day and have a wedding there.
THE MOST DIFFICULT - Russians dreaming of officially getting married in Thailand will have to come here at least a week in order to undergo the necessary bureaucratic procedures. First of all, they will visit the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bangkok and get affidavit there - permission to register a marriage.It must be translated into Thai and legalized at the local Foreign Ministry, after which you can go to any "registry office" in Phuket. It is not necessary to register for the ceremony in advance, but you don’t expect much from it - usually the newlyweds simply sign the necessary papers and receive a formal congratulation from the employees. But the local marriage certificate looks very romantic - with ornate Thai letters and a frame of roses and hearts. After the wedding, you will have to visit the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Russian Embassy again to legalize the certificate and put a stamp on your passport.
SIMPLEST - and who said that marriage should be registered at all? In Phuket, you can hold a symbolic wedding ceremony. By the way, this is exactly what a quarter of foreign couples do.
Ceremony
If in Russia the wedding ceremony takes place in the registry office, then in Thailand, after official registration, everything is just beginning.
IN EUROPEAN - such a ceremony was invented specifically for foreigners, but this does not mean that it exactly copies the weddings of the Old World. The action is more reminiscent of the wedding of a prince and a princess from a fairy tale. An arch decorated with flowers is installed on the beach, under which the bride and groom swear to each other in love and fidelity. All this is accompanied by romantic music and rain from rose petals. After the ceremony and a light buffet, the newlyweds can go on a boat trip, rent a luxury yacht, ride elephants or just wander around one of the most beautiful islands on earth. Well, in the evening them
waiting for a gala dinner in a restaurant.
THAI - Preparation for a traditional Thai wedding has been going on for many months. It all starts with a trip to the astrologer, who makes up the horoscope of the future family and determines a favorable day for the ceremony. Then the bride begins to choose outfits. There should be at least three: for a wedding ceremony, for a banquet and for dancing at the end of the evening. On the wedding day, Thai brides and grooms get up no light, because already at 5 in the morning they need to be in a Buddhist temple to receive the blessing of the monks. This is followed by official registration, religious ceremonies and a banquet for at least 100 people with dancing until the morning. Does such a holiday seem tedious? For foreigners there is a "lite version", which includes the ceremony in the temple and a photo shoot in traditional Thai wedding dresses.
