The August issue of Burda will be on sale soon, which means that the time has come for a review, which contains useful tips on choosing patterns that take into account the peculiarities of the figure, the idea of styling and modeling.
The last summer issue of this year will delight us with a collection with the “right” floral print, models for the office, a beautiful vintage dress and such rare patterns for boys. Trend trousers with patch pockets, an actual basic fitted coat and a controversial, but such an attractive blouse with a peplum and sleeves, a flashlight - well, just the cream of the August issue of Burda! Read about all this in more detail below.

The blouse, as if descended from the pages of the Burda of the 80s, is wonderfully stylized in a magazine. But, sewn from form-holding fabrics, it will fill almost any figure.
Nuance:
like any thing that has a clear imprint of the past, a blouse can add age to the owner.
On a note:

with the right choice of fabric for sewing, it will hide the tummy and the absence of a waist.
Idea:
Extend and sew a lightweight beach dress.

Cargo pants - a hot trend in spring and summer - do not give up their positions. The most desperate fashionistas combine them with crop tops and massive sneakers. Girls calmly introduce them into the style of safari or fit into comfortable images with hoodies and sneakers. The magazine offers to play in contrast and mix with a feminine top and boats.
On a note:

visually can make the lower part of the figure heavier.

An example of how the trend adapts to life: fluffy sleeves and high cuffs are in fashion.
On a note:
The V-neckline visually lengthens the neck, the assembly under the chest will make the lush bust overweight, the basques will hide a small tummy and draw a waist. Magnificent sleeves will slightly expand shoulders.
Idea:

sew from dense fabric, removing the peplum and assembly under the chest, and get trendy mega-fluffy sleeves.

A short jacket with tucks and without a collar clearly bears a retro imprint. And although fitted models are gaining popularity, I do not recommend using this pattern as a basic one (especially if this is the only blazer in the wardrobe)
Nuance:
has a stylistic orientation - retro.
Idea:
however, as a blouse or as an evening option for socks on a "naked" body, it is quite the place to be.
On a note:

visually enlarge the chest, lengthen the neck.
Dress with sleeves

I liked the floral version of this dress more - in it the print supports the style of the dress.
Nuance:
dress with a touch of boho, i.e., has a pronounced stylistic orientation and is not basic.
On a note:
the neckline of the dress is the viewer, but will lengthen the neck, the sleeves will expand the shoulders, and the assembly at the waist will help hide the protruding tummy.
Idea:

extend to a confident midi to mid-calf or maxi.

Good pattern fitted coat. The magazine also features a trendy zebra print. A rigid accent line of the shoulders, formed by a dense shoulder pad, will become a successful acutely fashionable stroke.
Nuance:
length to the middle of the calf will increase the completeness of the coat.
On a note:
a similar cut will emphasize the absence of a waist and a protruding belly.
Idea:

abandon jacquard in favor of woolen or mixed coat fabrics.
Skirt with frill

It seems to be a simple A-line skirt, which actually refers to a romantic style. This means that it is not basic and easily combinable.
On a note:
a similar style with ruffles is not suitable for girls with wide hips.
Idea:

replace ruffles with other not voluminous decor (zippers, rep ribbons, knitted ribbon lace) - in this case, the decor will “draw” the verticals and will visually slim. Sew a tweed and ruffle skirt with a fringe.

Lovely dress with a sleek trend in the form of magnificent sleeves.
Sewn from light flowing fabric can be an excellent resident of both summer and winter wardrobes.
Nuance:
the neckline will visually stretch your neck, narrow your shoulders and lighten a heavy bust. The cut of the skirt in plain fabric can emphasize the tummy.
Idea:

sew a dress from companion fabrics or printed fabric. You can "play" with the cut of a skirt, but the dress is also in its original form.

It is stated retro in the magazine. Overall a charming dress for an amateur. I do not recommend sewing as a model for work from costume fabric and wear as a sundress, but in the evening-festive version it may well be.
Nuance:
the dress has an obvious retro style, this must be taken into account when drawing up sets.
On a note:

the dress will emphasize the waist (or its absence), a lowered shoulder will visually expand the shoulders.

A floral print skirt is a very controversial option for most wardrobes. With the wrong configuration will kill any image.

Nuance:
visually makes the lower part of the figure overweight, so it almost always requires a heel or other additional slender visual effects.
Idea:

make contrasting wedges, shorten to mini, giving the model a sporty character. Sew from "bold" fabrics: denim, leather.
