Holding this art object in your hands, it's nice to feel like an artist who creates his own portrait.

The foundation of perfect makeup is good brushes. Any makeup artist will tell you about this. Basic set: brushes for tone, blush, powder, eyeshadow, lip brush, brush for eyebrows and eyelashes.

FOR TONE

It is wide and flat to evenly apply the base, foundation on the face. Such a brush is convenient to apply tonal means of any texture: cream, powder, liquid. The peculiarity of shape and density allows the brush to adhere sufficiently to the skin and, as it were, imprint the tonal product. She must not be smeared, but driven in with light movements.

Equipment: apply a small amount of the tone on the back of the hand, slightly dip the brush into the tool with one side. And drive it along the massage lines as if from the bottom up: from the chin, from the nose - to the hairline.

FOR POWDER

It can be either round or oval. As a rule, it is very dense and thick, and the size can vary. But you should not buy a seductive large brush, it is not too convenient. After all, the main purpose of the brushes for powder is to model the face. And for this, a medium-sized pile is best suited. When buying a powder brush, run a hand over its pile and slightly pull away from you. Hair should not fall out. Pile can be squirrel, pony or goat. The most expensive and high-quality option is protein. Because its pile is the most elastic and allows you to apply powder in a thin and even layer, ideally distributing the texture on the surface of the skin.

Equipment: shake off excess powder with light tangential movements, like hatching, draw from the center of the face to the hairline. And so on until a uniform tone is created.

FOR BLUSHERS

It can be from a pile of ponies, squirrels, goats, and in shape - round or beveled. Moreover, beveled is preferable. But the main thing is that it is soft, then the blush will fall more evenly, taking into account the natural microscopic irregularities. If the brush turns out to be stiff, then the blush will fall into stripes, which then will be quite difficult to shade.

Equipment: in applying blush there are a lot of nuances that depend on the shape and complexion. The main thing is not to apply blush in a straight line, but to lead the brush, rounding off the motion, following the natural curvature, and also not to apply blush from the bottom up.

FOR SHADOWS

The variety of shapes, sizes, as well as the range of use of these brushes, is huge, but it’s not necessary to buy all the brushes for the shadows that exist. To do makeup, just a shading brush and a short-brushed brush are enough.

FOR LIPS

A thin, small, flat brush with a sharp tip. These are used to summarize the lips and apply lipstick or gloss. The brush paints small cracks and bumps on the lips. Therefore, the lips look perfectly made up.

Equipment: the brush is dipped in lipstick or gloss and patted on the lips with patting movements, which, by the way, makes it more economical to use lipstick or gloss.

FAN BRUSH

You will not confuse with any other, the name accurately describes the form.It is used to whisk excess shadows, powder, blush and thus evens out makeup. Materials are different. The main thing is that the brush should not be too stiff, otherwise the newly created makeup could be severely damaged.

EYELASH BRUSH

Removes excess carcass. Her teeth are either plastic or metal. Adhesive eyelashes are separated better by metal, and if you need to lay them and comb, then plastic will be more appropriate.

Equipment: gently comb the eyelashes from the very roots. When choosing makeup brushes, pay attention not only to the pile, but also to the handle, so that it is strong and comfortable for the hand. And also pay attention to how the hairy part is attached to the handle: everything must be reliably fitted and fixed. Take the brush by the tip and wave a little, bend it at the place of attachment. If the handle hangs even a little, it means it will break soon.

TIP: pile is always better than natural. An exception may be brushes for greasy, liquid or cream textures. You can distinguish natural from artificial pile by shine: natural brushes are matte. Pile should not be too hard. A good brush does not leave fallen hairs.
