About the page author
“I take pictures using my sewing machine. I use a needle and black thread as a pencil and fabric instead of paper and paints,” says Sarah Walton, our current heroine. “My main inspiration is people, their relationships with each other, and dogs "I am inspired by such simple moments of happiness as the opportunity to dance, hold hands or wake up late in my bed on weekends. I try to capture such moments as using a photograph, creating a memory of joy imprinted on the fabric." Sarah works as an illustrator with magazines and sells her embroidered work as an artist.

What is this page about
On the page of Sarah - a photo of those moments that inspire her, and her embroidered work, plus the stages of their creation. If we draw an analogy with art, in terms of content this needlework is close to genre painting: scenes captured with shreds of fabric and thin lines show us people in different situations, often with dogs, Sarah loves them very much. In form, these are modern minimalistic illustrations. The deliberate unevenness of the line and the color patches inscribed in the work make them original and unusual.
