The Military style is impossible without epaulettes and epaulets. And a simple sweater will adorn such an accessory and make it individual. I made an epaulet for a coat. But using this technology, you can make a decoration for any wardrobe item.
1. I needed: a piece of thick felt, a piece of serving napkin, scraps from a coat, two types of fringe (long split and short looped), viscose cord for furniture, two tight buttons of different sizes and fabric for them, Moment glue (you can glue gun) , thread needles, hands and perseverance.
2. Having picked up the shape and size using ordinary paper, I cut the epaulette blank from felt and coat fabric, and from the serving napkin is 0.5 cm smaller around the entire perimeter. I planned two parts from felt. But my felt was not black enough. So I made the top part from the duplicated trim from the coat.
3. I tighten the buttons with the RFP trimmings and sew them to the outer layer of the epaulet.
4. I sew a long fringe to the felt along the round part. Fringe sections must be burned with a lighter, otherwise it will blossom. I spread the napkin with glue lightly so that it doesn’t crawl. I glue to felt, leaving a fringe between felt and plastic.
5. Again, I smear plastic with glue and glue the top layer of epaulette to it (from coat coat). Here it is better to withstand a short pause, let it dry.
6. Now, around the entire perimeter, I am flashing the edge of the epaulet. I have become a single design.
7.I sew on the end of the epaulette a short fringe along the round part of the epaulette. Do not forget to burn the slice!
8. Now we sew a short fringe around the entire perimeter of the epaulet. I tried to attach it to the end, but it didn’t work out everywhere.
9. Well, now I’m decorating the place of attachment of all layers with a cord. For invisibility, it is best to sew the cord through it “diagonally”, falling into the grooves between the twists with a thread. Then it is generally not visible how the cord is fixed. I pierced the needle through, clutching a long fringe with several rubber bands for money. Such a puncture gave me additional rigidity, still an accessory for a coat.
10. Well, and mount. I sewn to the coat with pens as a shoulder strap. So she decided right away, epaulettes namshivaetsya in her youth. But you can make the epaulet removable. Then on the bottom layer between points 3 and 4 you need to sew on the safety pins.
